Water gets in, and the base goes first.
A boat seat can look fine from the dock and still be soaked through underneath.
Water works in through split seams and staple holes, soaks the foam, and sits against the plywood base. After a few seasons the base goes soft and the foam never fully dries. A new cover over that only hides the problem for a season or two.
So the seat comes apart all the way. The old base is replaced with new plywood or a composite board, the foam is replaced, and a new cover is patterned and sewn from marine vinyl.

Marine vinyl is built to take UV and moisture in a way automotive vinyl is not, so that is what boat seats get.
Bring a surviving cushion or a photo of the boat’s colors and we will match it as closely as the material range allows. If the seats are getting a new look instead, marine vinyl samples are in the showroom to see in person.
When a seat base or frame needs metalwork or refinishing, the machine shop on site takes care of it, so the job does not leave the building.

Do the seats need to come out of the boat?
Seats and cushions can come in on their own, or you can bring the boat on its trailer.
Does every seat need new foam and a new base?
When water has soaked the foam or softened the plywood base, yes. A new cover over a wet foundation only hides the problem. We will tell you what your seats need before any work starts.
Can you rebuild pontoon furniture?
Yes. Pontoon lounges, corner seats, sun pads, and loose cushions are rebuilt and recovered as a set so the color matches across the deck.
