Auto Upholstery and Reupholstery
Full interior upholstery and reupholstery for cars, trucks, and classics, hand-finished in Sterling Heights since 1979. Seats, headliners, carpets, door panels, and arm rests, in cloth, vinyl, or leather matched to what your vehicle left the factory wearing.
Reupholster what has failed. Keep what has not.
Most interiors that come through the shop do not need doing over completely. Sectional work to the nearest seam keeps the original material everywhere it is still sound.
A driver’s seat bolster wears through while the other three seats are fine. A burn hole sits in the middle of an otherwise good panel. Replacing only what failed costs a fraction of a full reupholstery job and leaves more of the car original.
When a full reupholstery is the right call, usually on a restoration or a vehicle where the material has gone across the board, we do that too. The showroom carries thousands of cloth, vinyl, and leather combinations, so matching a factory grain and color is rarely a special order.
What sits underneath gets the same attention. Springs, frames, and foam foundations are rebuilt before anything is recovered. New upholstery laid over a collapsed foundation will look wrong inside a year.
Cloth to leather.
Factory cloth seats on a newer car or truck can be converted to leather, either with a pre-made kit or with covers patterned and sewn here.
A pre-made kit is the straightforward route when one is made for your vehicle. When one is not, or when you want a color, perforation, or stitch pattern a kit does not offer, we pattern the covers from your seats and sew them in the shop.
The seats are already stripped for a conversion, which makes it the easiest time to add seat heaters.

Not sure which one you need?
Send a few photos and your year, make, and model. We will tell you whether it is a sectional repair or a full reupholstery before you drive over.

Start to finish, on Mound Road.
Everything happens in house. No sublet, and nobody ships your seats to a third party.
Twelve types of sewing machine sit on the floor, enough to duplicate the original stitch style from just about any factory we have come across. When a seat frame needs metalwork, the machine shop handles it here instead of the job going out. That keeps the project on our schedule, which keeps it on yours.
We serve the general public and corporate accounts across Metro Detroit, including new-car sublet warranty work for dealerships. Show vehicles for GM, Ford, Chrysler, and Volkswagen have been trimmed in this shop.
Auto upholstery questions, answered.
What people ask most before bringing a car or truck in.
Do I need a full reupholstery, or just a repair?
Most interiors do not need doing over completely. Sectional work to the nearest seam replaces only what has failed and keeps the original material everywhere it is still sound. Send a few photos and we will tell you which one you are looking at.
Can you match my factory material?
Usually. The showroom carries thousands of cloth, vinyl, and leather combinations, so matching a factory grain and color is rarely a special order.
Can cloth seats be converted to leather?
Yes, with a pre-made kit when one is made for your vehicle, or with covers patterned and sewn here. Seat heaters can be added at the same time.
Is the work done in house?
Yes. Everything happens in house on Mound Road, including metalwork on seat frames in the machine shop.
